So in love with this song Good, Good Father by Chris Tomlin and love that my little girl sings this song around the house.
So grateful for gifts that God bestows on us and doing my best to not only accept them, but to shout for joy and praise Him for all that He does.
In Matthew 7 : 7 – 11, we hear how even though we may be covered in sin, we will still do our best for our children and how God does abundantly more for us than we could ever do for our children. The Lord is our Good, Good Heavenly Father. He will always provide for us, but even more so, He loves to show His love lavishly. He gives us our needs and in most cases, our wants also.
Sometimes the gifts that the Lord gives us are not tangible. Sometimes it’s the overwhelming peace that comes over us when something out of our control goes horribly wrong. Sometimes it’s the words that jump off the page and into our souls. He is our beloved Father, and He will always meet us right where we need Him. Jesus told us that we will meet tribulations in our lives (John 16:33) but that we must stay strong because He has overcome it all. He knows that there will be pain for us, but he Has also promised that for those who believe in Him, that he will never leave or forsake us. It is also written that He will be near to the brokenhearted and will save those with a crushed spirit (Psalm 34:18).
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit. – psalm 35:18
